Are Sadomasochists Ruining the United States?

Eugene Volokh responds to mail complaining that his earlier post dealing with the marriage rights of sadomasochists fails to acknowledge the threat that these people pose to our way of life. Or something like that - this bit of righteous indignation is very heavy on indignation, but very weak on argument, and Volokh quite rightly skewers it.

Sadomasochists or people who commit sodomy? Nao necesariamente, meu bem. And you know, there's sodomy (what that reader might like to get from his wife on Saturday night and is most wholesome in the context of the marriage bed) and sodomy (a la Bill and Monica, a hummer in the oval office...shocking and illicit!) and then sodomy of the scary sort about which Volokh's reader is concerned (although, I would imagine that the reader's idea that 95% of people think sodomy is male/male anal sex is more of a manifestatoin of what the reader thinks about 95% of the time).
