Gov. Perry to Gay Veterans - Don't Come Home

"I'm going to say Texas has made a decision on marriage and if there's a state with more lenient views than Texas, then maybe that's where they should live."

The Republican Governor of Texas actually said this publicly about gay VETERANS COMING HOME FROM IRAQ.

I'm so appalled I can't even begin to process a response.

Everyone in Texas knows Perry is a lightweight, and the wolves are sharpening their teeth to take him out. Texas Governor is one of the most overrated jobs in politics since most power in the state lies with the Lt. Governor and House Speaker. I guess right now that is a good thing.

Of course, we just wrapped up a legislative session that dealt with everything except the most important issue facing the state - school finance/tax reform, and there seems to be little hope that any of the state leadership will get a deal done soon.

I am comforted to know that Governor Perry is devoting his time and attention to such important issues as insulting gay veterans.
