Since when do Republicans have a problem with not-yet-legal coeds drinking? Would these (really disgustingly sleazy) people working with Rep. Hostettler's campaign (people who should be ashamed of themselves for essentially running a campaign against their opponent's daughter) dare bring this up if this poor teenager was named Barbara or Jenna? He accused breast cancer survivors of giving themselves the disease with abortions?

This nutty joker tends not to raise much money (gosh, I wonder why) and has had some tight races in the past - here's hoping '06 is the year he finally loses.
Posted by: Armand at February 5, 2006 12:35 PM | PERMALINKSo I looked up this guy in the Almanac of American Politics (which is sooooooo over-rated as a supposedly objective reference source - just look over the adjectives they use in the profiles, there's a right-wing tilt to them - and even after reading the profile I'm still not clear why this guy's "ingenious").
What did I learn? Among other things, he was one of only 3, count 3, members of the House to vote AGAINST the Violence Against Women Act in 2000. The other 2 are no longer in the House, so if you want to help ease this last opponent of that measure out the door go help Paul Morrison.
