Both sites now uglier, harder to navigate!

The New York Times, however, is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I will see if it grows on me (unlikely), but I will have to consider another homepage fairly soon. In addition to the format change, they have dropped the section on "Washington", which means that political news has moved off the page (why?). They are now linking to the "most blogged" articles (sort of like the WaPo does), but fail to indicate which blogs are linking - all it does is list the NYT articles that are most linked. Big deal.
Overall, pretty shitty.

Posted by: binky at April 3, 2006 01:51 PM | PERMALINKWell, I need someplace to get news. I appreciated the NYT's attempt to put the top three stories in each section in a clear place for me to see it. Now - not so clear. The WaPo page seems cluttered, and hard to follow.
What I'd really like is a way to see the pages as they exist in the printed newspaper.
