It seems that readers expect us to post on the decision by the ethically-challenged former House Majority Leader to resign. There isn't much to say: the shift from "I'm fighting it all the way" to "Oh, hell, I'll resign" was fairly abrupt, and not in Delay's character. The conspiracy theorist in me argues for some fairly evil evidence coming out that will sink him, but I suspect that, more simply, he realized he would never gain as much power and authority as he had, so he walked away.
I've no evidence one way or the other.
