Today's Tom DeLay Links

It seems that readers expect us to post on the decision by the ethically-challenged former House Majority Leader to resign. As much fun as it might be to write pithy comments on his cowardly resignation, I'm busy this morning - so go read those links at The Carpetbagger, and this one on the future of DeLay's district if you want to follow the story.

We have readers?

There isn't much to say: the shift from "I'm fighting it all the way" to "Oh, hell, I'll resign" was fairly abrupt, and not in Delay's character. The conspiracy theorist in me argues for some fairly evil evidence coming out that will sink him, but I suspect that, more simply, he realized he would never gain as much power and authority as he had, so he walked away.

I've no evidence one way or the other.

There is that one guy, Norbizness, but I see him everywhere. What a slut. ;)

What am I, chopped liver?

No, I'm just teasing Norbizness because he was recently nominated for "best poster" at the Koufax awards. He really does turn up everywhere. I was somewhere completely new the other day, and who did I find in the comments. Maybe it's like "V" or something...

Speaking of V - you should post on Vendetta someday. :)

I'm trying to find/borrow a copy of the original, to see what the translation to the big screen did. I'll try to post something this weekend.

Well that'll make for some playful comments - given how much you disliked it and how much Binky and I liked it.
