More Good Political News!

Zarqawi's terrorism is ended. The Senate kills the effort to permanently repeal the estate tax. And the FDA has finally approved Merck's Gardasil (anti-HPV) vaccine. It's a good day. You'd almost think competent people were running the country's government.

Bro,
Thanks for posting a positive story about our government! (I know it probably sounds like the sarcastic, smart ass thing I would normally say, but I really mean it)

I'm happy to have the chance too - but you do realize, right, that two of these 3 things were made very difficult by the White House and the 3rd was at least delayed by the White House, right? I'm all for good goverment and competence - and I'm happy to see the US government get some easy calls right. But I think it's a damn shame that the president and his minions make some of these easy calls so difficult.
