UPDATE: Order rescinded. You may now return to talking amongst yourselves. There are likely to be kinks for a bit, so if you have issues, email me.
Our wonderful server folk are about to upgrade the site, and to make things easier on them, we're asking everyone to please cease and desist commenting for an hour or so. Much obliged.

Posted by: a wonderful server folk at June 26, 2006 04:50 PM | PERMALINKThings still seem to be working. I'll try some "banned" phrases next, and see what happens.
Posted by: baltar at June 26, 2006 04:52 PM | PERMALINKWe love our wonderful server folk! We wouldn't know what to do without them!.
Posted by: baltar at June 26, 2006 04:53 PM | PERMALINKHmmmm. This spam filter seems to operating in a "Zen" mode, where everything isn't spam and we all get along. On the other hand, all of these posts are by real commenters, so maybe that's why there are getting let through.
Posted by: baltar at June 26, 2006 05:03 PM | PERMALINKBut see, I'm wondering if this is working because we are all already approved commenters. The first time any of you posted, except the wonderful server folk, I had to approve your comment. The comments appeared in orange in my menu. Then ever after, you were green. Until we unthinkingly banned "blogspot.com" and got moon, for example. So, the new version has a feature called "trust commenter" which I think gives you blind acceptance. There is also an option to "untrust" a commenter. So, my dear jacflash, if you don't mind, I am going to untrust you for a few minutes and see if it affects your porn posting. OK?
Posted by: binky at June 26, 2006 05:05 PM | PERMALINKSorry 'bout that, I went out to dinner with a friend.
Er.
Hm.
Okay, try this:
Free sex and donuts and percocet and texas hold'em and poker and viagra and cialis and enlarge your penis, baby!
Posted by: jacflash at June 26, 2006 09:44 PM | PERMALINKPerfect. Thanks for for the team effort. It looks like this new system is much better at distinguishing friend from spam.
