Fyi, for those of you who might want to see it in town, the global warming documentary will be shown at the Warner starting this Friday.
I hope it's much better than Why We Fight (the last film I saw there). Moon has, of course, praised it at length. Oh, and Roger Ebert too, if you care about his opinion.

The slideshow presentation that is at the heart of it is fairly interesting. But that's framed and surrounded by all these other moments - forced, heavy, meaningful moments - with voice overs by the former Vice President (looking very serious). And a number of these are about his life, not about global warming. When these came on, I was bored at best, barely maintaining conciousness at worst. So, well, I can't recommend it for any sort of "film" reasons - but if you can put up with the Gore tales that surround it, the slideshow is fairly interesting and you might very well learn a thing or two.
