And now it's conspiracy theories and UBL - they figure he's dead and that's going to be exposed just before the election.

Actually I've been thinking, for the 1st time this year, that a terrorist attack is highly likely before the election. But now that you mention it - what if UBL's body is released, not by Bush, but by the terrorists themselves - on, say, November 2nd.

I don't think that will hurt Bush/the GOP that much. Bin Laden doesn't seem to be as much of a wedge as, say, a Congressman IMing with congressoinal pages.

My thought that a dead UBL would really help Bush and the GOP - whether or not they had anything to do with him dying.

Back to the original subject, they were at it again this morning. On the bright side, however, one of the nice grad students brought me an AFI CD to listen to in order to drown them out. :)

Sadly though you can still hear 'em. Or bits and pieces. And it sounds like they've returned to topics as interesting as the gossip column stuff about whether or not Sadie Frost let her kid pick up ecstasy off a club floor. Yes, THAT was an earlier topic - these people find "entertainment" gossip of that level fascinating and worthy of their own judgments ... and of course it's not just that they talk about this stuff -it's that they do it with such gusto and glee ...

So dull, judgmental and common it makes your brain want to fall out.
