Posted by armand at January 25, 2007 08:27 AM | TrackBack | Posted to Sportsi actually ended up watching a lot of serena's match with vaidisova (sic?). a couple of thoughts: a) i'd been reading that serena was biggish, but i had no idea. i mean, she's gotta be a good 15+ pounds over her playing weight, and it showed toward the end of the match. b) speaking of the end of the match, serena's damned lucky she eked out the victory at the end of the 2d, because if V had taken her to a third she was gonna get clobbered by V's vastly superior conditionining and ruthless aggressiveness. c) this was my first time seeing V, but she broke off some nasty shots. she looks like one to watch.
