Besides, our country has a moral obligation to help foreigners who have helped us in time of war.

Sure, that's a horrible comment. Especially given the sorry ass (murderous?) record of the US when it comes to accepting refugees from Iraq. But it's probably worth pointing out that Strickland has since apologized and retracted it.
