The Most Slippery Day of the Year

Not only did I arrive at the office today looking like I'd just spent 5 months in a 1960's freezer, I lost track of how many times I almost fell down, and I don't think I've ever seen cars downtown move slower. So if you are out and about today, but very careful.

Wow it must be bad out there. I just went into the main office and even this late (10:15) there are no staff members in there. Our former department chair is manning the phones.

I have a very simple if-then statement for this university to follow. Here is Binky's New Rule of Snow Days: if the weather is so bad that you have to shut down the campus transportation system, then it is bad enough to close the university.

There were students stranded all over the place, who couldn't get back and forth between the campuses, students having car accidents, not showing up to class because of it, or straggling in all hour long distracting the very few who did make it in, students getting sopping wet, when they are all sick already.

It really seems like the administration doesn't think much about the students's health and safety. Very irresponsible.
