Presidential Fashion Disasters

Who knew the president had presidential-seal socks made? Or that he wore crocs? I think this calls for some attention from Go Fug Yourself.

Dude, when your approval rating is as far down as his is, you might as well be comfortable.

I guess. But at the same time - 1) this is the guy who tightened dress codes at the White House (b/c you know it's somehow vital that those doing government work dress like 1930's bankers) and 2) I sort of wonder if there's not a fair psych analysis waiting to be done of a guy whose socks shout out that he's the president.

The socks were almost certainly a gift from someone, just like the "43" hat a few years back. And he's not at the WH in that pic, is he?

I guess there's so much legitimately wrong with this administration that I don't see the point in making up reasons to snark him over nothing.

And yeah, I'm sure some pissy little moonbat associate psych professor somewhere could write a buzzword-bingo paper roasting him for the socks. I think that would say more about the professor and academia than it would about Bush, though.

I don't know - considering how we know he views his job he's basically wearing socks that say "King of the World" or whatever - and honestly, wearing stuff like that, and especially walking out in front of the press corps wearing stuff like that - I think it does say something about him.

I mean if I hadn't already read about seemingly a hundred little actions that imply he's really insecure & full of himself I might agree with you - but given the preexisting pattern ...

Here's the WaPo's take, though it sort of wanders off into a general anti-Crocs screed.
