Since it's a presidential debate night: If Bush could run for reelection, would he? And if he was going to, would he be handling SCHIP differently?

I can definitely see him running again to try to protect all the "good work" he is doing in Iraq from being undone by his successor. I think the key point is whether or not he realizes that he would have no chance whatsoever of being re-elected. Because really, he has a better shot at protecting his iraq policy by allowing someone with a shot in the dark of actually winning the race to run.
That said, I doubt he would handle SCHIP differently. That would be the least of his concerns in a re-election bid. For hypthetical dem nominee would be Iraq, Irq, Iraq, scandal, until November.
