The County Clerk Thinks I Moved?

So I just got a card from the county clerk asking me to confirm my address since she's gotten news that I've moved. I'm really curious how she got such news, because I certainly haven't moved. And the timing of this, coming two months before the primary ... is some party or campaign playing dirty with the voter rolls?

I would suspect identity theft attempt first. Re-directing mail is a common part of identity theft.

Wait a minute, yours came from the County Clerk? Mine was from the Secretary of State. What the fuck? Are you calling or going down to investigate?

Have you updated your registration and ID so that they match?

Yep, it was from the County Clerk. I'm mailing the card back saying yes that is my address, so hopefully that'll be that.

Please oh please won't you walk it by on the way to work and ask how you got on the list? I couldn't ever get an answer out of the Secretary of State, but you walk right by the office. C'mon, do it in the name of blogging research?
