The mind reels. That she held such a position of power is revolting. And I probably can't get my head around just how damaging her actions were to the US Department of Justice.
UPDATE: Does the incompetence of it all make the corruption better or worse?

Specifically: Do we believe the IG's report when it (apparently) says that Gonzo wasn't implicated? And do we trust Mukasey to actually clean some of this up?
Posted by: jacflash at July 28, 2008 07:43 PM | PERMALINKDo I expect Mukasey to clean things up? Absolutely not. Maybe he'll fire Nowacki (spelling?), but I wouldn't necessarily expect even that. The real question is if Speaker Pelosi will let the Judiciary Committee pursue perjury referrals. Mukasey won't actually respond to those either of course, but at least the House could take some action (toothless though it may be) since I really doubt the AG will.
