Every so often I get hungry when I am reading The New Yorker. This is one of those times.

In an occurrence of disturbingly increasing frequency the last few years, I misread your post initially to indicate "anger" rather than "hunger." I read the review and tried hard to imagine what made you angry, when it mostly made me hungry (even as a vegetarian). Then I returned to post something quizical and saw what you actually wrote.
So yes. Hungry. Right there with you.
