Palin Slashed Funding for Homes for Teenage Mothers

She's one compassionate conservative.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee who revealed Monday that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, earlier this year used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.

In fairness, and as an object lesson in the sort of candor we never get out of Morris, this information, while it may not entirely blunt the critique or be entirely accurate, at least complicates the discussion of Palin's line-item reduction.
