Maybe America Watched The Wrong Interview...

ABC got the numbers and the interview, but this guy might have had the more important interview. Don't know when it was from, but it has to have been recent.

(Moved below the fold because it would play automatically.)

McCain looks confused by actual tough questions from a local yokel.

I swear, if one more Republican says that energy is our number one national security issue, I'm going to scream. Seriously? So is that why we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan? I'm sooooooooooo confused!!!

The wrong interview, Part 2. I don't agree with Sullivan that this ends McCain's candidacy, because I think those predisposed to him will see in it a browbeating, nattering clique of liberals (notwithstanding that the abortion question came from a Republican), which he withstood roughly but with dignity. Indeed, it could be a net positive for McCain for precisely that reason.

Even so, however, The View has a hell of an audience, and clips from this interview are going to end up everywhere (hopefully in an Obama ad or two).

In any event, it's all well worth watching.
