I heard Hunt interviewed on NPR this morning. His basic theme seems to be that he's the experienced legislator in the race (several years in the state House, and a major staffer on the Judiciary Committee before that). It sounds like he's got a lot of experience on local issues, his immigration stand could accurately be described as "tough" and he's very much opposed to the Patriot Act.

He also seems to be woefully out of his depth on matters of foreign policy. But then he sounds like the kind of guy who will not end up specializing on foreign policy issues if elected, so maybe that's not that important.
