Gosh golly gee whiz. We can't think of anything original to say, so we'll just kick West Virginia some more! It's 'cause we're all stupid Republicans (forgetting about Byrd and Rockefeller, no doubt) who don't brush, not that our rural state lacks adequate health care for all citizens or that employers don't provide insurance to part-timers (you know, the old "work 39 1/2 hours per week thing) and even if you're a full-timer working for the state you don't get dental. Insert eyeroll here.

When I lived in South America, I knew people, poor people, who deliberately left their families' teeth untended until the teeth fell out at an early age. Why? Because access to dental care was practically non-existent, and even if it was it would have been unaffordable. So in the rational cost-benefit analysis, it was much more logical to let all the teeth fall out, and then get a good set of dentures.
But of course, like in the case of the "real" Third World, we in West Virginia don't have other realities, no, just "misconceptions" ("the misconception held by these people that losing teeth is a part of life. They don't know that if you just brush them, they last!").
Insert more eyerolling.
