Bloodless Coup

Kevin Drum had a good post on this last night that pointed out that the president 1) has an aversion to anything like government planning - except for when said government planning helps his buddies in the energy industry and/or tears down preexisting environmental protections and the like and 2) for a supposed "oilman" he shows a shocking lack of knowledge about the energy industry (maybe that's part of why he was such a lousy businessman - though I suppose his base that loves him so would put those past failures down to his drug use and partyin' lifetsyle).
