Richardson, Lynn, Daschle - and now Ms. Killefer is withdrawing her candidacy. These things are not being handled well.

This will pass, but it's hard to imagine a replacement with even close to a similar mix of necessary skills to wrestling our health care situation into some semblance of order. And there's no question they knew about it, is there? Wasn't Daschle aware of the arrear like last summer?
Take heed, Morris, it's a new day: fans of this President can criticize his choices and bemoan his mistakes without being a) branded as traitors (well, except by the right, which these days just brands democrats as traitors in lieu of argument); b) feeling like they are betraying their party or their favored elected officials; or c) incurring the wrath of their more doctrinaire peers.
It's nice. You guys should try it some time.
