It's too depressing to put a whole separate post up, but here is another piece of Florida news on abortion rights. Apparently 13 is too young to be mentally and emotionally prepared to make own's own health care decisions, but is old enough to be mentally and emotionally prepared for childbirth and parenthood.

and probably old enough to stand trial as an adult facing life in prison.

by the way, what nitwit at the Times hired a woman with the middle name Gay. or rather, what editor allows her to use the full name instead of G.? all the bylines fit to tie the bible-thumpers in knots.

it's kind of funny, but i had the thought this morning, snoozing and listening to NPR's somnolent prattle regarding this legislation, that the GOP doesn't want Roe overturned at all.

if it were simply overturned, abortion would remain a matter of state prerogative. in that event, they'd have half or more of the states permitting abortion (my guess is far more than polls show; it's states that end up supporting unwanted children in the long run), and droves of women crossing state lines to have them performed in lieu of back-alley abortions in their home states.

these wing nuts won't stop until they've constitutionalized the anti-abortion position.

Her name, "Gay", has been in her by-line for a long time.

"Earned" by who?

Figure that out and you'll have wisdom, o spambot.
