I am confused about this Godwin's law thing

So, when the wingnuts start writing columns in which they suggest that Nazi Germany provides a positive example, when does Godwin's Law get invoked?

Referring to W's speech tonight:

And he will be lying, again, just as he lied when he said: "Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic – it's just not going to work."

Not only will it work, but one can easily estimate how long it would take. If it took the Germans less than four years to rid themselves of 6 million Jews, many of whom spoke German and were fully integrated into German society, it couldn't possibly take more than eight years to deport 12 million illegal aliens, many of whom don't speak English and are not integrated into American society.

So, hey, the Nazis were able to "rid themselves" of undesireables, W is misunderestimating the US's capabilities.

Sweet motherfucking Jesus!

i'm just speechless, though it recalls colbert's use of a clip of gibson on FOX saying that due to the high proportion of minority babies, "we" need to make more babies, which was stunning even for FOX. kinda makes cosell's transgression seem tame by comparison.

Gibson's continued employment is one of the best examples of the fact that you really can say appalling things about broad swaths of Americans and keep your job with Fox (apparently the pro-Anglo-Saxon-life network).

Well, it is World Net Daily, who back in the Clinton days sponsored a "Shadow Government" policy project that included among its proposals a Final Solution(TM) to the "problem" of homosexuality in the US. (I'm trying to get a linky but web.archive.org is timing out on me. I'll follow up if and when.)

And dude, just look at the picture of "Vox Day", the author of the original WND piece. Not that we should be judging someone strictly on looks, of course, but sometimes a skinhead is a skinhead, y'know?

And I don't think you can call Godwin if the Nazi reference isn't hyperbole.
