Royal Alexander: "If You Don't Help Me ..."

A Republican candidate for Attorney General of Louisiana really needs to learn 1) not to threaten people and demand money from them OR 2) not to do so over e-mail.

I tend to be skeptical of money "scandals", because an exchange of cash hardly means an explicit quid pro quo or change in policy against the public interest. However, if politicians are going to come close to extorting money from people in exchange for providing any assistance to them ... yeah, that looks to me more like a scandal. And doing it over e-mail really makes one wonder about Mr. Alexander's competence and intelligence.

Alexander broke no law. If he had to do it over again I am sure he would word the email differently. I know him personally and I know he has a genuine heart for change in this state. He also knows that his corrupt opponent is sitting on a $1 million warchest and will be re-elected to terrorize more innocent people if Alexander cannot get his message out, which takes money. A mistake in the intense heat of battle, no doubt, and a silly one. But not unforgivable. It is the difference between a mistake by Alexander and a lifetime of flagrant abuse and corruption by Foti and Cowboy Caldwell. I'll go with Alexander and frankly I don't think anybody cares about the damn email. One cannot busy himself painting the deck chairs on the Titantic.

Royal Alexander is a lightweight political hack and a sophomoric shakedown artist. His lack of action in the Foley scandal and his action in another had him literally sent home from DC. If Dan Kyle's barely coherent rant (before a legislative hearing investing DAN KYLE) is the darkest dirt that Royal can dig up on Buddy Caldwell, than DA Caldwell is a saint. And if Royal Alexander is the best the GOP can field for Attorney General, the Party is in trouble. Royale... with cheese!

See there I'd have gone with a thumb-wrestling joke myself. If there's one thing that qualifies you to be attorney general it's mad skills as a thumb wrestler.

Would ya'll please stop arguing? I am doing all I can to hold my fourth marriage together and get elected attorney general without my record being exposed. Please hush up.
