The Federal Reserve Helps Republicans and Hurts Democrats in Election Years?

Obviously a complicated relationship, the this finding of a "monetary-industrial complex" is rather interesting.

I wouldn't call that a "finding" so much as a hypothesis that might well be confusing cause and effect in any of several ways. IME the Fed is a much more serious and adult-led organization than Drum seems to want to believe.

Errr, maybe. But Greenspan's playing along with the Bush and company is pretty well documented. But sure, "The Fed" as a whole is probably less partisan than Greenspan. That said, I'd expect to see Bernancke kicked out when his term expires.
